Θα γίνει ΠΟΔΗΛΑΤΙΚΗ εκδρομή στην Αιγινα την Κυριακή 14/6 (βλ. www.filoi.eie.gr) όπου η διαδρομή θα είναι: λιμάνι, Σουβάλα, Αφαία, Αγ.Μαρίνα, (χωματόδρομος) Λαζαρίδες, Παχιά Ράχη, Μαραθώνας, Αιγινα-λιμάνι.. Σε όλη τη διαδρομή υπάρχουν "έξοδοι διαφυγής" για όσους κουραστούν ή θέλουν να κάνουν κάτι άλλο.

Προκειται για ενα ποδηλατικο γυρο σε 5 χωρες (Ιταλια, Σλοβενία, Αυστρια, Σλοβακία και Ουγγαρία)
για την προώθηση της βιωσιμότητας και της δρασης των πολιτων (civil action).
Την Τρίτη 12-5-09 θα επισκεφθει τους "Φίλους του Ποδηλάτου" ο Stephen Allen ο οποίος αν και επιληπτικός κάνει τον γύρο του κόσμου με το ποδηλατο του εδω και 7 μήνες. Ανήκει σε μια οργάνωση www.seizetheworld.com που προωθεί την έρευνα για την επιληψία και υποστηρίζει οτι τα άτομα με ένα τέτοιο πρόβλημα μπορούν να έχουν μια δραστηρια ζωή.
Θα δείξει φωτογραφίες απο το ταξίδι του και θα ήθελε να γνωριστούμε.

I apologize for not being able to write to you in Greek. I found your website when I was searching for bike shops in Athens on the internet. I am currently riding through the city on a bicycle tour around the world to raise money for epilepsy research. www.seizetheworld.com. Also, I will be in the city for about three weeks, and if there might be any interest, I would be thrilled to give a presentation of some of the photos that I have taken during my journey. This could be pretty casual, or organized however you like! Things have often worked well gathering people together for dinner, or a drink, sharing pictures, and having a great time discussing bikes, travel, etc. It is often a great reason to bring people together.
Seize The World is a non profit foundation in the United States that is based on the goal of promoting the idea that people with epilepsy can lead active lifestyles. I have epilepsy myself and have managed to be touring on the road for the past seven months. It has been fabulous. If there might be interest in making a connection, please let me know!
